Privacy notice
What data the BackThisBuild pilot collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.
This notice covers the current pilot. It must be reviewed against the final operating entity, launch countries and production processors before live funding begins.
Data we collect
- Account data such as email address, authentication provider and account identifier.
- Operator application data, including organisation, contact, project plan, budget, milestones and uploaded verification files.
- Sandbox payment metadata such as Stripe session identifiers, package selection, amount and payment status. BackThisBuild does not receive full card details.
- Technical and product-usage data needed for security, reliability and aggregate product analytics.
Why we use it
- To provide accounts, save applications and operate the product preview.
- To review pilot submissions, prevent abuse and maintain an audit trail.
- To test checkout, receipts and signed payment webhooks safely before live launch.
- To measure reliability and improve the experience. We do not sell personal data or run advertising profiles in the current pilot.
Processors and storage
The pilot uses Supabase for authentication, database and private document storage, Vercel for hosting and product analytics, and Stripe for sandbox payments. Transactional email is not active until a verified sending domain and provider are configured.
These providers may process data in other countries under their contractual safeguards. Final production retention periods and regional transfer terms will be published before live launch.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct or delete pilot account data, subject to security and record-keeping requirements. Contact the pilot team using the address shown below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
