Is the 3% fee available now?
The 3% rate is the proposed standard marketplace model. It is not yet a live billing commitment. Final agreements must confirm availability, who pays, how the fee is collected and what happens if a payment is refunded. The estimator helps you plan; it does not initiate a payment.
What about payment processing?
Processing is separate from the proposed platform fee. Its cost depends on the provider, country, currency and payment method. If you already have a provider estimate, add the total to the calculator to see the combined estimate. An unknown processing cost is not treated as zero.
Do I need a monthly plan?
The proposed standard marketplace model has no monthly creator subscription. Foundation and network programmes may have their own scoped agreement. You can start a project draft without purchasing a subscription.
When would the platform fee apply?
The proposed model is a success fee for a successfully funded project, with no platform success fee if the funding target is not reached. The final payment terms must define the funding conditions, collection timing, refunds and fee treatment before live contributions are accepted.
Where can I launch a project?
BackThisBuild is designed for discovery across regions. The estimator supports several display currencies, without exchanging money or confirming launch eligibility. Creator and payment availability must be confirmed for your country before launching.
Does backing a project guarantee delivery?
No. Project plans, updates and evidence help people assess a project, but do not guarantee delivery or remove risk. Creators need to explain delivery expectations, risks and applicable refund terms before anyone contributes.
